Free Coaching Clinic

A licensed instructor from EPYSA will come out and go over player spacing and how to teach players to avoid bunching; something that causes problems at all age levels.  This is free to all Souderton coaches – both travel and intramural.

2009 State Champions

Congratulations to the Souderton Cyclones U-14F team.  On May 16th, the Cyclones defeated Lehigh Valley United 1-0 in the EPYSA Challenge Cup Finals. The Cyclones went undefeated in seven games to take the title.

By earning the state title, the Cyclones advanced to the regional qualifier round of the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup played on the weekend of May 30-31.  The Cyclones outscored the competition from PAW and NYW 9-1, but the only goal they surrendered came against a strong FC Pittsburgh club which knocked them out of the tournament with a 1-0 loss.

Team on Fire

The Soudeton u/11 girls Inferno soccer team is on fire!!  They pulled off a major upset Sat May 30th when they entered  the Southern ChesterCounty Soccer Association tournament as the lowest seed and walked away as the Champion with a 2-1 win over a top ranked team.  This is the girls 3rd tournament of the spring; they placed as a finalist in the Quakertown Tournament and  placed 1st  in the Shoot for the Cure, Montgomery United Tournament.

The Souderton U/11 Girls Travel Soccer team, Inferno, is an upcoming force to be reckoned with.  The team has only been together 1 year playing in the Inter County Soccer League.  After entering their 2nd tournament of the spring season, where they finished as  Finalists in the Quakertown Spring Invitational and were victorious on Sunday May 17th winning the Shoot for the Cure two day tournament,  to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness.  The girls pictured below are Madasyn Harwick, Jamie Tataion, Hannah Taylor, Maddison Landis, Kristen Parry, Allison Williams, Cheyanne Scott, Alex Ruth, Kenzie Moyer, Maddie Swartley, Kylie Heath, Alysia Jones, Mel Witter, Joy Douglass, Hannah Schmidt, Juliana Ofalt, Jackie comley and Diana Grater are coached by Mike Scott, Tara Heath and Karen Parry.

Souderton Area Soccer is again sponsoring a UKElite training camp at Franconia Park this summer. You do not need to be a member of the club to participate.
