Tournament Rules and Regulations
1. ELIGIBILITY
A. The competition is open to Clubs, Leagues or Associations by invitation only. Each tournament will be held on one day only- Saturday, November 7, 2009 for the girl's tournament and Saturday, November 14, 2009 for the boy's tournament. (TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE)
(TEAM PATCHES WILL BE EXCHANGED AFTER EACH GAME.)
B. The competition is open to both Girls and Boys from rec, intramural and intramural select teams only.
*NO TRAVEL TEAMS OR TRAVEL PLAYERS WILL BE PERMITTED*
C. The competition is open to any eligible player who appeared on the roster of an intramural team as of September 30, 2009.
D. The following shall apply to age group eligibility:

Under 8 July 31, 2001
Under 10 July 31, 1999
Under 12 July 31, 1997
Under 14 July 31, 1995
Under 16 July 31, 1993
Under 19 July 31, 1990
* Example: If the player is 8 years old on Aug. 1 or after they are considered a U8*
* Age groups may be combined or eliminated depending upon registration*
E. It shall be the responsibility of each Club, League or Association Registrar to certify the eligibility of its competing teams.
2. ENTRIES
Entries are taken on a first come, first reserve basis. Each Club, League or Association wishing to enter the competition shall forward to SISL the following:
A. Completed application forms.
B. Entry fee of $200.00 per team entering. (Checks payable to SISL)
( In the event of a team or tournament cancellation, a $25.00 fee will be assessed for
administrative cost.)
**Both the application form and the entry fee must be received no later then Two weeks prior to the tournament. October 24, 2009 for the girl's and October 31, 2009 for the boy's.
C. Completed rosters for each competing team.
D. Proof of Insurance.
3. ROSTERS
A. Team rosters will be limited to a maximum of 14 players for the U8 and U10 divisions and a maximum of 18 players for the U12, U14, U16 and U19 divisions.
B. A players name can only appear on one team roster and may not play for any other team in the tournament.
C. Team roster must be received no later then Two weeks prior to each tournament
**October 24, 2009 for the girl's and October 31, 2009 for the boy's**
4. INSURANCE
A. It shall be the obligation of all teams entered in the competition to provide proof of insurance for their players to SISL with their registration.
B. The coaches are responsible for presenting the medical release forms for his or her players at the tournament registration.
C. The Souderton Intramural Soccer Association will retain the necessary liability insurance for the entire competition.
5. MATCH REGULATIONS
A. Duration of the Match
I. Each game will consist of the following:
U8 and U10 will play 8 v. 8 with 2-20 minute halves.
U12, U14, U16, U19 will play 11 v. 11 with 2-25 minute halves.
II. Each game will have a 5-minute break in between halves
**No overtime periods will be played during regular soccer matches, overtime matches may occur in playoff games only**
B. Substitutions
In all matches, substitutions will be allowed as follows:
I. Substitutions will be unlimited.
II. Substitutions on your possession only.
III. Substitutions can be made with the consent of the referee at the following times:
a. Prior to a throw in
b. Prior to any goal kick
c. After any goal
d. Half-time
C. Ball Size
Age group Ball Size
U8 Size 3
U9, U10, U12 Size 4
U14 - U19 Size 5
D. All FIFA Rules in effect as of July 1, 2009 will apply to this tournament.
E. Each team will play a minimum of 2 games.
6. MATCH OFFICIALS
A. During this tournament, the Referee is Godly. The Referee shall administer the laws of the game and his or her decision is final.
7. GAME AND SIDELINE CONDUCT
A. No foul language will be tolerated.
B. No slide tackles will be permitted! (You will be carded for any slide tackle)
C. Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their players, and sideline spectators.
D. Refs do have the authority to dismiss coaches, players, and spectators for conduct that they determine is inappropriate. (Players that are red carded must sit out the remainder of that game plus the next game)
E. Please use good judgment and remember that this is a fun tournament for all!
8. GAME FORFEITRUES
A. There will be a five-minute grace period after the designated starting time for each match.
B. Failure to field a team of at least 8 players will result in a forfeit.
